| Six Bangalore-based artists from various disciplines come together in this collaborative effort to capture the aesthetics and experiential nuances of the urban Indian flower market. They maneuver the more complex socio-economic by-lanes of the Indian market economy. Video, photography, graphic design and painting are variously employed to make artistic inquests into the chaotic and sensorial world of Bangalore's Krishna Rajapuram (K.R.) market. Not confined to the market space alone, the works speak in a myriad of visual tongues to capture the anonymous task force behind the industry, its meager economics, and this heavily trafficked world's explosive natural colours and infectious energy. |
